What is Poly UAS, and what does the club do?

Poly UAS is a student-led club focused on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) design, development, and innovation. We work on hands-on projects, participate in national competitions, and explore the latest technologies in the drone industry.

Who can join Poly UAS? Do I need prior experience with drones or engineering?

Anyone can join!. We welcome students from all majors and backgrounds who are interested in drones, technology, and engineering.

How do I become a member, and is there a membership fee?

To join, simply attend one of our meetings or sign up through our website. There are no membership fees!

What types of projects or competitions does the club participate in?

We participate in competitions like C-UASC hosted by Cal State LA, which involves designing, building, and flying autonomous drones for specific missions. We also work on internal projects such as custom FPV drone builds and advanced projects.

What skills can I learn or develop by joining Poly UAS?

Members gain hands-on experience in drone design, fabrication, programming, and flight design. You can also develop skills in teamwork, leadership, project management, and technical problem-solving.
